Persian Historical costumes

Driven by her personal interest, Maryam has studied the history of Persian women’s clothing, from the Elam dynasty (2700 – 538 B.C.) through to the Pahlavi dynasty (1925- 1979). This project started in 1998 and continues to this day. One of her dreams is to write a simple informative book on the history of Persian fashion so that she shares her work, knowledge and insights with an international audience. The number of emails that Maryam receives from her fans – especially from Iran- has thus encouraged her to start this project: “Living Artefacts – the lost fashion of Persia”.
